La Concha Guided Hike:
Which Tour to Book

Diego Guerra Narváez · Marbella local ⏱ 4 min read

I've been hiking La Concha for over 15 years and every season I see the same thing: people who underestimate it, get lost at the junctions or freeze at the Chain Pass. If it's your first time, going with a guide is the safest — and easiest — way to reach the summit. There are two summit tours on GetYourGuide, both rated 5.0★. Here's how they differ so you can choose in a minute.

Is a guide worth it for La Concha?

Yes, if it's your first time, you don't know the route, you're hiking alone or you're not comfortable on exposed terrain. Waymarking is sparse, there's barely any phone signal and the Chain Pass has a sheer drop. A guide sets the pace, picks the safe window and knows when to turn back.

Probably not, if you're an experienced hiker, carry the GPX track on your phone and go in good weather. Then my free guide is all you need.

Guide or no guide, check what to bring for La Concha and, if you drive, how to park at Juanar.
